Andhorn ambushes Buliwyf by Kusuriurite

Andhorn was deep in thought as he patrolled the Minotaur line. In the few skirmishes that had occurred since the Malik and the prince of the Avari had spoken across the battlefield, the Minotaur were proving to be an unbreakable wall Andhorn, with the wisdom his years had brought him, knew that this would become a war of starvation if they didn't break the Firstborn line soon.

it was in this line of thinking that he had led himself into a battle with a paladin on the other side of the war named Buliwyf. The two had been drawn to each other by the forces they served, and as they faced each other, Buliwyf hovering slightly above and Andhorn with his lance pointed at the winged man the conversed.

Andhorn was first to speak, not caring who had the advantage in the conversation. "So Solaris has seen fit to bathe himself in blood has he, Avari?"

"My lord sees fit to minimize your blight on this world, that is true" Buliwyf responded "why do you serve your lord, only darkness awaits your death."

"darkness is the time for sleep, the time for rest." Andhorn retorted "Even your Solaris sees fit to rest after every day does he not?"

"He does, yet he gives us light to see what our work must be, without that we would fail to gather food and our hunger would stop us from resting in the night" Buliwyf

"You wish to feast upon our flesh then? What other hunger could this war satisfy other than bloodlust?" Andhorn said losing his temper at the rival Paladin. "Answer me that, one is to be called holy."

"sometimes one must cut the vermin from the grain to ensure the harvest bares its full fruit" Buliwyf said

"What of the rodents then? Do they have life any less than the sparrow?" Andhorn said now yelling at the mentally impassive Buliwyf. "Does their blood not flow; do their families not starve because of the farmer's greed?"

"Vermin are vermin" Buliwyf said

"May you die a vermin's death then, Sparrow" Andhorn spouted dark energies lacing his words "So that you may understand the death of the rodent."

"I shall die in the manner which Solaris permits." Buliwyf said bathing himself in Solaris' glory "be that the death of the vermin or the death of an eagle"

With that the spiritual battle ended and the two servants departed the sight of the furious battle.

Outcome: Andhorn victory

Telhas Jerhar ambushes Malik Marhitet by Kusuriurite

Telhas rubbed his newly healed arm as he sat in the tree and waited for his two comrades to bait the seasoned warrior into his ambush. He had chosen a crotch midway up the trunk as it provided a clear drop and adequate concealment.

Nearby, his two companions baited the Captain into the trap. Malik was fast getting frustrated at the arrows and taunts of the two wild elves. Their attacks were not damaging him due to the plate armor and his massive girth but, even small wounds will begin to take their toll if given enough time.

It was only after Malik neared Telhas' vision the he managed to get a hold of one of the elves, grabbing Mallen by the throat and grunting in success.

It was then that Telhas was forced to make a move; he could not carry forth his plan because of Mallen's predicament nor could Jeyrid fire arrows at the Minotaur because of the same risk. Instead Telhas used the blessing he had been given by Solaris, his flare.

As soon as his Vision was gone the Minotaur bellowed as his frustration with the elves peaked, He threw Mallen land like a flat rock on water he skipped across the ground before impacting a nearby tree.

Telhas then took his chance slashing at the fumbling minotaur's neck, only to strike a horn in its place, making a small nick in it but, moving close to the thrashing beast cost him has a heavy downward blow was only just blocked by the elf. His Katana spun out of his right hand breaking a few fingers and slid towards Jeyrid who was now helping the blind and injured Mallen up.

"Fall back for now, we've done enough" Telhas said as Jeyrid hobbled away shouldering Mallen and picking up Telhas' Katana. "I'll be back for you cow." Telhas said as he followed his companions away from the furious Minotaur.

Malik Marhitet ambushes Telhas Jeraar by Ketara

The forest was quiet now, the outskirts of the minotaur camp as peaceful as elder woods of unknown shores. Sunlight crept through the leaves, creating a dancing kaleidescope of light and shadow on the ground, the soil loose and excited by elven feet.

Telhas held up his hand, the other Elves in his gang creeping in behind him, their weapons at the ready. Something had stirred.

"It's coming from over there." Mallen said, pointing his crossbow towards a few bushes in the direction of the camp. The woods were thicker there, and there were many trees and boulders behind which an assailant could hide. Jeyrid knocked an arrow, and Telhas drew his katanas slowly.

They were ready for an ambush, but they were not ready for the ferocity of Malik's charge. The steelclad minotaur came rumbling through the woods like an inferno, breaking rocks and trampling bushes as he came. Jeyrid and Mallen fired their arrows, but the thin bolts bounced off Malik's shining steel armor, the horned warrior bellowing and howling as he came. Telhas rolled to one side, narrowly avoiding his opponent. Malik slammed head first into Mallen, knocking him aside. Mallen went slamming into a tree, winded and dazed.

Telhas came around behind his opponent, but Malik had already turned around, the two locking blades for an instant. Jeraar was thrown back, stumbling and barely staying on two feet. This opponent wasn't like those they'd ambushed the few days prior, this was a warrior, a leader amongst his clan. Jeyrid fired an arrow through the cracks in Malik's armor, the minotaur soldier bellowing and howling. He broke the arrow and turned around, backhanding Jeyrid straight into a tree.

Malik turned round again, crouching low and dragging his axe across the soft dirt. He raised his body high above Telhas, his shadow covering the young sun elf's form. Jeraar sheathed his blades, holding up his hands and whispering phrases known only amongst his kin. There was a bright flash of light, and the minotaur stepped back, tossing his limbs in either directions. He had been blinded by the light of Solaris.

A few minutes later, Malik's sight was gone. The forest was once again quiet and peaceful, and the intruders in his land had long since vanished.

Outcome: Malik loses, Telhas wins

Day Without A Sun

Telhas Jeraar and his men eyed the Minotaur camp hidden behind a lines of trees. Junei already had his sword out, while Mallen and Jeyrid silently moved into their sniping positions. Telhas, himself, was keeping an eye on the enemy camp and double-checked his team's movements to make sure that they didn't give away their presence. He had yet to draw either of his katana.

It was dark, moist, but not exactly wet. This camp was bigger than the one Jeraar had attacked the previous night, but he had confidence in his abilities and his men. Telhas waited patiently for Mallen and Jeyrid to prepare their advance. They were taking longer than usual, but patience in a planned ambush was a virtue. It wouldn't do well to hurry them.

A Minotaur guard was posted on either side of the camp. Although not actively scanning their surroundings, they were on alert. Behind the guards were a group of at least a half a dozen Minotaur gathered together in what looked like a serious conversation.

Telhas watched as Mallen gave his ready signal atop the hill he had settled on. Jeyrid had climbed up a tree just a few metres above one of the Minotaur guards. He was cleverly hidden behind the dark greenery of the tree. Mallen and Jeyrid fired a quick succession of shots; one at each guard. Their shots proved true and two Minotaurs fell within seconds of each other.

The group of Minotaur left seemed to be too into their conversation to hear or notice their comrades falling.

Telhas and Junei moved in quietly but quickly. Telhas' two katana struck the sides of one Minotaur and dug deep. Junei had his shield in front of him as he struck the Minotaur to the left.

As Telhas withdrew his swords a Minotaur rushed up to him, growled and picked him up by the neck. Telhas winced, but tried to shake free to no avail. The Minotaur placed another hand on Telhas' feet and smashed Telhas into the ground.

Junei saw his commander go down, and ground his teeth as he found himself surrounded by three Minotaurs. One approached him and tore the shield from his hands, while another swatted the feet from under him.

Mallen and Jeyrid tried hard to fix their arrowheads on an enemy without hitting their comrades, but sadly the Minotaurs were fast on their feet, and they couldn't risk endangering either Junei or Telhas.

Telhas rolled to the ground with a thud, and took in a deep breath. He tried to stand up, using his left arm to lift himself off the ground, but quickly fell down. His arm couldn't take the weight. A Minotaur smashed his foot onto Telhas' chest, knocking the wind from his lungs once more. Telhas hurt all over. The next second he opened his eyes, he saw the Minotaur before him fall to the floor and used that window of opportunity to make a rash decision.

He issued a flare command.

Night turned into day, and day turned into a blinding whiteness. Telhas quickly picked himself up hurried away from the direction of the Minotaurs. They had been overcome. He had to retreat and hoped Junei would be able to do the same.

Outcome: Telhas loses, Minotaur camp wins

Raiding Horns by Sakura Fanelia

Although the day had been bright and clear, six hours after sunset a storm had attacked the small island. Telhas Jeraar and his unit were drenched from head to toe as they crept the island under the cover of not only the darkness, but the lightning and the rumbling of the pouring rain.

Telhas had uttered a small player to Solaris as he led his group farther into enemy territory. They were all clad in their armour and each fully equipped to walk straight into battle. Their destination? Minotaur scouts. Telhas had been charged with offering a quick, but decisive blow to their enemies under cover of the night.

Not a word was exchanged amongst the Sun Elves as they slowly made their way up the mountainside. Every one of their senses were on the lookout for the prize they sought. Telhas issued a hand signal to halt as he saw some movement in the corner of his eyes. A few seconds later, it was confirmed to be a warthog. The group continued on, slowly walking up the mountain.

As the unit drew closer to the top of the mountain, they each got down into a crawl. They were then on the verge of a small group of Minotaurs, as was marked by the two tents off into the distance. One and only one lonely Minotaur was outside of the tent, seemingly waiting for them.

Telhas unsheathed his katana and eyed his comrades. Each nodded, confirming they were ready. Jeyrid and Mallen nodded with their bows cocked and ready. Telhas gazed upon the group of unsuspecting minotaurs off in the distance. He raised his hand up in the air, then swiftly brought it down. Jeyrid unleashed an arrow from his bow and watched as it bore into the Minotaur's left eye. Mallen's crossbow simultaneously sent a direct hit to the Minotaur's chest, straight through the heart. The Minotaur cried out and crumbled to the floor.

Their presence had been announced.

Telhas charged and attacked a second Minotaur that quickly exited the tent. His katana dug into an arm, and the Minotaur growled. It tried to push Telhas away with its unwounded arm. Telhas ducked, missing the blow. The Minotaur pulled the katana off its arm, bent its knees, snarled and charged at Telhas.

The Minotaur's speed was much too fast for Telhas and the Sun Elf fell back, hitting his head on the ground. Telhas winced in pain.

Mallen fired a quick succession of shots at the back of the Minotaur that had just charged Telhas. Each arrow dug deep into the back of the raging beast. The Minotaur's knees fell to the ground with a large thud, and Telhas found himself under the drooling body of a fallen enemy. Telhas tried to move, but found himself pinged. He was somehow able to get his hands on his second katana which he thrust onto the chest of the Minotaur for good measure. A loud roar assaulted Telhas's ears. The Minotaur was dead, but he was still pinged.

"A little help over here!" Telhas managed to shout. He couldn't see what was going on with the rest of his unit, but it seemed an eternity before the Minotaur's body was unceremoniously pushed off him.

Telhas uttered a begrudging thanks to Mallen and Jeyrid.

His head hurt and bled, he was covered in Minotaur drool and blood, but as he looked at his surroundings he was at least happy to know that they had fell four enemies this night. Telhas Jeraar and company retreated.
